The Rising Press produces short documentary films
on subjects of social importance. In earlier documentary work, we founded
and published the documentary journalism magazine
Points of Entry: Cross-Currents in Storytelling (2003-2006) and
published DoubleTake: Points of Entry magazine (2006-2008).

In 2009, work grew to include written narrative,
photography and video documenting the life stories and
experiences of elders in the Hampton Roads area by students
at Christopher Newport University, Newport News, Virginia—
The Wisdom of Age Project: Hampton Roads 2009.

Terry Lee was co-editor of DoubleTake / Points of Entry magazine
and is an Associate Professor of English & Journalism
at Christopher Newport University in Virginia.
He is the author of A New Path at Midlife (Men's Studies Press, 2006).
